ORFG Members Celebrate openRxiv

ORFG members at the openRxiv celebration

At the 2025 Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Open Science meeting, ORFG members had the opportunity to celebrate openRxiv, the new organizational home of bioRxiv and medRxiv. As more funders institute preprint deposit recommendations and/or requirements in their open research policies, preprints servers need robust, stable infrastructures to support the open science ecosystem.

While at the meeting, ORFG members participated in and presented at a number of sessions discussing funder and funding persistent identifiers, highlighting their open science policies, discussing the future of open science incentives, highlighting efforts like the Preprint Policy Framework, and more.

Hats off to the openRxiv team as they continue their work to provide access to preprints!
