Schmidt Sciences Partners with NASA to improve arXiv

Schmidt Sciences has partnered with NASA to fund critical infrastructure updates to arXiv, a long standing research sharing platform that hosts over 2 million scholarly articles contributing to the research corpus in eight subject areas.

Open science infrastructures are core to the mission of advancing and accelerating science and knowledge. With this infusion of funds to update aging infrastructure, it ensures the continued rapid dissemination of research.

Founded in 1991, arXiv will use these funds to improve its technology updates as well as provide for the personnel needed to accelerate updates. Read more about this gift at the Cornell Chronicle.
